Strength & Conditioning
Main Objectives
The Department of Strength and Conditioning is mainly involved in training the athletes under the scheme-NCOE, NC, TOPS for enhancing their performance as per the set KPI.
S & C Department designs a customized Strength and Conditioning program as per demands of sport/game and athletes individual need. The Strength and Conditioning program includes developing various strength abilities, power , speed agility which are major sports specific abilities required for physical performance in sports.
The S & C department uses the latest technology for assessment(Force plates), continuous monitoring(AMS software, wellness questionnaire), recovery(recovery pump)etc.
The S & C department works in close relation with other sports science departments like Biomechanics,physiotherapy, Nutrition department for prevention of Injuries i.e. prehabilitation and Return to sport after rehabilitation from any Sport Injuries.
S & C department does physical performance analysis along with Coaches for continuous monitoring of the performance outcomes as per the periodized plan and accordingly progress or regress the training.
